What architectural or infrastructural projects in your opinion does Cork need to grow into the next 50 years?
number 1 on my list is a tunnel connecting the South Link Road on the site of AR Brownlow to the N20 emerging at the junction with Leitrim Street – this would relieve Parnell Place and Merchant’s quay from their current heavy traffic load, freeing them up to be made over, becoming proper urban spaces shifting and expanding the heart of the city east towards the water and emerging Docklands by completing a loop of wide, urban-scale spaces consisting of Patrick Street, Grand Parade, South Mall, Parnell Place and Merchant’s Quay.
