Thats a very good point Graham, but in fairness a few of the better schemes down the Country have been refused or modified beyond recognition the prime example being a certain scheme in Sligo & cork is kind of well covered here already. I suppose you could add:
The Completion of Eyre Square
The Jury’s Scheme in Limerick
Divis Mountain in Belfast
The start of the Western Rail Corridor from Ennis to AthenryBut unfortunately a lot of stuff outside Dublin is not to be celebrated:
Completion of the residential element of the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise
Tara under threat
Demolition of the Slate House in Valentia - January 4, 2005 at 1:44 am #749153

ParticipantOr is it just something you dreamed last night?!
If the Abbey decision falls in favour of Hawkins, and Liberty Hall is sold, we could see plans emerge for the removal/alteration for two of the city’s most notorious buildings in the same year.
So, when are the ESB moving out to Leopardstown? ๐

It is a genuine proposal – an announcement is currently being prepared with an application to follow soon after. 3 developers have proposed such a complex for Cork, Owen O’Callaghan among them – but his development most likely will not be the one that makes the final cut. I am aware that a more solid proposal is to be made by a development company in the coming months.
