ParticipantHow does one create one of these designs, I believe it’s interactive and anyone can create a design and a message but I’ve looked at the website but can’t find the link?
Ok just read it properly : “As of April 22, 2004, anyone who logs onto the website http://www.dublinelevation.net will be able to design enormous light sculptures in the sky of Dublin…”

ParticipantI was there last night – fantastic!
Just goes to show how great the Spire will look lit.
This type of light show should be made permenent – esp at the Christmas period when it’s dark from 5 o’clock.
Also the plaza was being pressure-washed at 11pm – which was good to see.

Participanthad my show up last night, they take web shots of it and create a webpage for you, and you can watch it live on webcam. this is an excellent piece of installation work. very involving and dynamic as a piece of ephemeral architecture. kudos

They should make that permanent, what a great idea!!!!It certainly would give Dublin a very distinctive landmark on an International Scale. I like the Spire and feel that the lights would really enhance it. It would express that modernity that gathered pace in the late 1990’s when buildings like the music centre at Curved Street were appearing with regularity.
