ParticipantA quick question, is it possible for an applicant to submit unsolicited information to the planning authority after the standard 5 week period has expired?

InactiveNot sure what the regs say but I have known of some Planning Authorites accepting unsolicited additional information from the applicant after the 5 week period. I am also aware of others who will not an return it.

InactiveMy experience has been the same as jackscout….. some do, some dont….
maybe its whether they consider it significant or not…… ie ive often submitted effluent treatment system reports and contract after the initial submission…. and in most cases its not a problem (there was 1 time however…..)

InactiveThat has been my experience. I just find it strange that different authorities have different rules regarding this. In fact Dun Laoghaire – Rathdown request that all submissions (even from the applicant) must be lodged within 5 weeks and include a €20 fee. Wicklow have accepted unsolicited info (with no additional fee) after the five week period also Kildare and Cork. Carlow returns it but keeps a copy on file. Is this a grey area in the regs and a matter that is at the discretion of each authority?
