Tralee developments

I remamberthisproposal in Denny Street being discussed a few years ago. Does anyone know if this proposal cleared the pastiche process?

I’ll start off by asking does anyone have images or plans of what the new Penneys store in the Mall will look like on completion. The last time I was home, I saw the two large buildings occupied by Penneys (and its sister ladies fashion store Prima) hoarded up with notices about a total revamp taking place. Personally, I’m delighted as the current stores had the dreariest retail interiors in Tralee and have been literally untouched since they opened in the mid 80s. As they occupy one of the most prominent retail locations in town, they were long overdue an overhaul so I’d be interested to see what the new look is like and when the refurbishment is due to finish?

Hi – this is probably only of interest to those with Tralee connections but the new Penneys and Heatons stores were unveiled in Tralee town centre last week and both look impressive (particularly the Penneys store which was crying out for an upgrade). The town centre has thankfully stopped looking like one big building site in time for Christmas!
