Yep. there is good coverage here in the Uk. The Beeb have some great pics on their website. Its very uplifting to know that we can put on such a fine spectacle, especially so when it is for such a positive thing.

The games in Dublin and the portuguese team staying on the Aran islands is not very handy, is it ?…
-
June 25, 2003 at 12:20 pm #731726ewParticipant
I think the Portuguese got a great host town then. The islands would’ve been lovely last week. Teams stayed with the host towns for beween 3 days and a week leading up to the games. All teams are accommodated near the venues (Dublin mostly) now that the games have begun.

I was at the Aran islands 3 weeks ago and i also think it’s a lovely place (I even got sunburned!)… But getting to Dublin it’s hard, considering you have to get a boat and there’s no motorways almost all the way… to long I must say.
-
June 25, 2003 at 2:07 pm #731728urbanistoParticipant
Its not that bad! They probably get a hellicopter to Galway and then its only 2.5 – 3hrs by road. It might not be a motorway but its no boreen!
