Anyone near Ballyferriter- Co. Kerry
a friend stayed in a hotel not too far from the old schoolhouse ( Fas Training Centre )…
behind the Hotel the owner had a famine soup kettle. It was a few years ago now ( 10 ) I do know the male owner at the time was from Clontarf and subsequently drowned in the area, if anyone knows if the kettle is still existing it would be of great help.

ColmThe name of the place you are on about is called Tig Bric. His sur-name was Bric, he drowned while on holiday not soon after completing the complete refurbishment of the pub and guesdthouse.
Fairly certain the kettle was in the courtyard outside the pub(around the back) still during the summer..the address is Riasc, by the way
