the range of sponsors they have makes me very jealous but their traffic figures makes me laugh…. we usually have around 200,000+ pages per month and had 300k for november…. but can i find a sponsor….. no
Maybe the site is just too specialised……. I wouldn’t consider it a downfall though……..there are too many sites out there trying to cover everything
ever think about bringing some of the content off-line i.e. via book or magazine and having the publisher sponsor the site?
or organize a big one off event alá zeriously to round up interested parties. Put a couple of lookers on a stand and sign up for sponsorship leads. i’ve seem so many shite sites not fit to lick the boot attracting sponsors like that.
For every Michaelangelo there’s a DeMedici to be found, you just need to be lower than a snakes belly and go cap in hand.
Lack of Sponsors – Maybe its because we spend our time grumbling instead of buying things! But well done Paul! Its an excellent and much needed site. I’d be interested to know how much effect it has on ‘powers that be’
