      I think 2002 was the year that self cleaning glass was launched accross Europe . Does anyone have any experience , good or bad , arising out of it’s use . Does it “do what it says on the tin?”

      No personal experience of self cleaning glass but I do recall a self cleaning Spire.

      I think it was used in the extension to the students centre in UCC, built in 2003ish. Last time I was in the area the glass looked clean enough, and I didn’t see anyone abseiling from the roof with a bottle of windolene.
