The Websites I’m presently working on aren’t really viewable. Still in development. Funnily enough, they’re all charity related: APSO [site re-design] they share our technology and skills with Developing world countries, St. John of God Hospitaller Services, a new Forum website for all international agencies involved in sharing technology etc for Overseas Development.

Good worthy stuff indeed!

It depends on the site itself doesn’t it? Websites that are likely to attract immature teenies who feel very brave and often become involved in slagging matches, are doomed. (well ,their forums are).Have a look through some of these posts, I do not think that they are meaningless, or vacuous, the opposite in fact. People who like to cause ‘trouble’ in a post are more likely to be put off if totally ignored, and/or outnumbered. I stumbled across this site only recently, and find the forums excellent, and useful also.

No, I actually agree with bunch – playing Devil’s advocate earlier.

I’m more of a follower of the “Cluetrain Manifesto” (http://www.cluetrain.com) really, which suggests that the beauty of the Web is that it will empower customers by linking them together and allowing them to communicate over such forums as Archeire and exhange their views on products, companies, etc.

I was just “curious” about the benefits that members of such an active community as this felt they were receiving.

Oh God, can we please limit this forum to registered users? Using their real names if possible?

I just think think it would be a further disincentive to people who are posting crap on this forum in order to take the piss

Another new version of the RIAI site. Looks well, much better than earlier ones (obviously their designer is learning how to design).
