I bought a 1.25 acre site of a farmer here in ireland about 8 years ago , got planning for a dormer bungalow which i built .I made a few changes to my house after planning permission so i had to retain all my changes through the planning system.

Im looking to know will i have any problems going for permission to retain my boundary ,my house and perc area are all in one side of my site and im looking to split my site in 2.Im hoping to sell one half with the house and keep the other half

I have my house on the market because i owe some of my family members money as they lent me this for the build ,i was suppose to give them it back with a loan of the bank but with me not working now and already owing the bank i have no way of paying my family members back,

I hope to sell my house ,pay the family what i owe and live in a mobile home on the other half , what can i do

      Hi

      Here’s my two penneth worth:

Do the two (new sites) fulfill the site area criteria for the county ?
Was the percolation area built in accordance with county guidelines SR6 or EPA ?

You’re not really going to know the answer unless you go for the retention – a pre-planning meeting maybe of use depending on county.

Don’t forget you’ll need planning permission for the mobile home

And a mobile home for a neighbour might negatively impact the sales price of the house.

I dont know the site criteria for the county .Percolation area was built the way the plans stated.

Do i still have to apply for retention if i were to pass the other half onto another family member . My father owns the land next to me ,i was thinking of putting it in his name ,would this be possible
