Duke House is a four-storey over basement premises on a side street between Grafton and Dawson Streets. Designed by the partnership of Peter B. Legge and Sean Murphy, the building is long associated with the fashion retail trade. The building is heavily glazed on the first two levels with the upper two floors finished in a buff brick with incised windows openings created a vertical cut through the facades to the ground level. Unusually a plaque on the building mentions the architects. For many years the home of well-known mens’ outfitter ‘Alias Tom’, it featured on their letterhead. Recently sold.
