1973 – Moylurg Tower, Lough Key, Co. Roscommon
Architect: James Fehily & Associates
Constructed within the footprint of Rockingham House which was destroyed by fire in 1957 and finally demolished in 1971. This 150 ft viewing tower is a fantastic standalone piece of Brutalist architecture, its cantilevered viewing platforms offer amazing views of the surrounding landscape. The base of the tower is set inside the former basement, where servants tunnels to the lakeside can be accessed.
