      Would anyone out there have any statistics or know where I could find them on how successful planning appeals to Dublin COrporation are?

      I heard it was only 10%, which would make it very low comparatively speaking

      All appeals of local authority decisions are made to an Bord Pleanala, who I believe uphold about 80% of decisions.

      You should refer to An Bord Pleanala’s Annual Report 1998.

      In 1998, the Decision of the Planning Authority was reversed by An Bord Pleanala in 22%; amended in 37%; and confirmed in 41% of cases.

      This is quite a consistent range of statistics for the period 1989 to 1998.

      Dublin Corporation cases accounted for 14.5% of all cases received in 1998.
