ParticipantRecently purchased a very interesting book called “The Paidon Encylopedia of Modern Contempory Architecture” It’s a bloody big book, 800 pages with pictures and plans of low and high rise modern Architecture from all around the world, including examples of work in Ireland.
Bought it in “The Kenny Gallery and Bookshop” in Galway, highly recomended, cost 150 euros but worth every penny, a real collectors item. -

ParticipantOn the contrary, Kenny’s is one of the most expensive bookshops in Ireland. The only one I can think of that’s dearer is Cathach books off Grafton Street – unbelievable prices in there. These places are strictly for gullible tourists who want to take back a well-bound bit of the auld sod

Participantgreat book, brought it on http://www.whsmith.co.uk for 100 euro , thought everyone would know not to buy anything in rip off ireland anymore.
lacking a little on text but i suppose it would be hard to critique the volume of work explored in the book, its more of an overview than anyrthing else.
looks grt on the coffee table while a little too large for the ‘library’
