ParticipantWhen I saw that the Guinness billboard came down last year I was impressed. I thought it was great they were showing the bridge in its natural format again. So when I was passing Pearst street last Thurday night I was very disapointed that a new billboard that lights up was been installed. Pity.

InactiveLooks gruesome alright.
Furthermore, is alcohol the only product that is allowed to be advertised on Billboards in Ireland ? - April 7, 2008 at 6:29 pm #800063

Not just a pity, but also an unauthorised and therefore illegal development. Just noticed it myself today. Shame on a state body for knowingly constructing unauthorised developments.

Wrong thread, I know, but I saw recently that ads have reappeared on the Loop Line Bridge too- on the stretch alongside the Custom House. Still absent from the central section, but from little acorns…
Any idea of the legality of these, hutton?
