    can anybody tell me a little bit about the origins of the shopping centre? It has a swimming pool on the roof, which is rather startling, particularly for the time it was built, presumably.

    It was developed by Patrick Gallagher in the early 1970’s and was known as ‘The late great shopping centre’

    if it does have a pool was it ever used? also when and why was it closed down? i have never heard that one before. you learn something new every day. 🙂
