New faces in Dublin

A couple of developments have come out from under their wraps: What do you all think?

Clery’s North Earl St facade – I think they lost a golden opportunity to do something with all that awful dark brick. Its so aged looking. A brighter facing would have been much more suitable.

Goldsmith House – I really am impresed by this. Its a vast imprvement on the old and I think the finish looks very high quality and durable. I can imagine the building looking as good in 20 year time.

Tara St development – On the other hand the old Corporation office block across the road on Tara St is truly awful. I hate the disjointed shape of the facade and again the use of dark bricks. I missed opportunity to make a bigger staement in this rundown area.
