Some interesting new additions to check out around the city:

an interesting new build at the top of South William Street and Clarendon Street. I like it…will try and get a pic.

the latest addition to the mish-mash on Stephen Green West beside the Stephen Green Centre.
It also looks like a new superpub is going in here in place of Planet Hollywood.

a new apartment complex on Upper Dominick St. I think this one is by the City Council. It is possibly the deadest most uninteresting facade I have seen. Such a pity considering the beautiful Georgian terraces that once lined these streets.

Meanwhile, I am still gobsmacked at the absolute monstrosity taking shape on Capel Street. It is vile. Incidentially the CC have announced a revamp of the street incluing new paving, lighting and furniture. The paths will be widened on one side and all the antique paving will be restored. Plans are currently on show in the Civic Offices. This should provide a great boost to the street. There is so much potential here and its great to see so much activity with properties changing hands and planning appolications being placed.

A similar scheme is planned for Pearse Street and Dorset Street as major soutres into the city. IMO you could add Amiens Street and Thomas Street to that list…they are in a disgraceful condition. God only knows the impression tourists get of the city as they leave Connolly Station.
