ParticipantHello all, although I am not an architect, I work on their designs from the drafting board, through the shop fabrcation foor all the way to the final lift (I am a steel erector / foreman) I am moving to Dublin for a year to seek experience and further my education. I am wondering if any of you know of a reputable contractor that I may appy to. I have extensive experience with complex designs (I am from Toronto) I have been involved with : The Royal Ontario Museum expansion, The Ontario College of Art and Design project, The Pearson Airport Expansion ….and the like
Would be interested to seek a job on a similar project in Dublin City. I hear there are exciting things going on there and my work visa’s just burning a hole in my pocket.
Thank you
M

InactiveThe nature of employment has changed from contractors to sub-contractors much of the recruitment is done by agencies such as http://www.hays.ie/ or http://www.irishjobs.ie

ParticipantThanks for that! I have my name up in there. This is a great site btw and I can’t wait to get there. The Dublin airport looks to have an interesting expansion going on.
