Participanthey ireland…
i’m an architecture student from france, right now in Lisbon doing my erasmus year (and enjoying it!!), and i was kind of thinking maybe going up north for the summer. I’m interested into working in ireland, because i don’t know the place and that travelling/working at the same time is something i’ve done for many summers now.
I would really appreciate some info about how it works in ireland:
– is it possible to get a real job in an office? (i’m 4th year student, good level of cad etc…)
– is it easier to ask for an internship (stage, … i don’t know the word !), and if so, are there chances that i’ll be paid a bit at least?
– (this should be the first question) where can i adress myself ? That is, for example in architecture schools, does a special “stage secretary” exist, making the relation between students and professional?more:
(i will give you a more detailed view of what i’m really looking for, if any of you know anything specific, let me know!!)
-i would like to be in a smaller city (ie: not dublin), gallway sounds cool
-if not, the counntryside could be really cool also, i’ve very little experience of working in natural environnements, and that could be interesting for me..
-if possible, i’d like a small agency (5-6 people would be great)
– and something interesting!! (commercial architecture makes me puke…!) (young and idealist!!)all right, this is just for info, if any of you know some option that could compell with just one of the caracteristics above, i’m interested!!!
thanks in advance,
viva architectura!
felix from lisbon (i saw siza’s ocean pool last weekend, a blow!!)
