Was the Larkfield estate of houses in Harold’s Cross/Kimmage built by Dublin Corporation or by a co-operative? I was told yesterday that it was built by a co-operative in 1934-6 or so.

Yes, that’s the same estate. There’s Larkfield Avenue, Grove, Gardens and Park – here on Google Maps: 53.31889,-6.289566

Incidentally, where did you get the builder’s name? (And does ‘for Rathmines Public Utility Society mean that he was working on commission for the Corporation?) Can you find anything about a builder called Hughes who built the nearby houses in Clareville Road, also in the 1930s?
