Participantdoes anyone really know what is going on regarding the debacle surrounding a new stadium for soccer and rugby. the indo today hada lead story saying that soccer chiefs had been given 5 weeks to say how much money they and the irfu could stump up.
surely the best way ahead is to get the sums together from all that will be involved in funding the project, and then concentrate resources on providing the best possible stadium at the spiritual home of sport that is landsdowne.
at the moment our teams are being forced to perform in third world conditions, this can not carry on. i also think that a stadium closer to 70,000 capacity would be more suitable, neither the irfu or fai realise how many extra fans would consistently attend games if they knew tickets were available. a design something similar to that for the new arsenal stadium would be just great.

ParticipantToo late for the Special Olympics I see the Morton ‘Stadium’ !! is to be the venue for all the track and field events because there is nowhere else in the Capital – some advertisement that neglected kip will be for a world event – even Rovers refuse to play there.
