okay, i guess this website is a bit of a god send! i am a visual communications student and have a project that involves architecure.
We have to extract features of three different ‘house styles’ and demonstrate them as features that make a certain house style, a certain house style. ( i hope that makes sense)
I can’t seem to find information anywhere else and don’t really know where is the best place to look.Can u help me?
The house styles are:
Bungalow bliss 1960/70.Why did bungalows become so popular? What are the main features i.e stone work on front gable or L shape?
Mock Georgian 1980/90.
Why was this style revived then?Mock Tudor 1980/90.
Why was this revived? And is is actually popular in Ireland or is it just seen more in certain places? Is it on the increase with timber framed housing?Are these styles more common with housing estates or private clients?
