How Do I Make…

Dear people i hope this thread might help us all in solving the mysteries of trying to make things we imagine become reality.

At the moment I’m working on a design of a back-lit map of the world for a project. The actual map I want to get puntured onto brushed steel so that the light behind can shine through the boundary lines of the different countries and continents. I presume then I can have a box made up of MDF to slide the metal into a long as its not too big and goes ‘wobbly’.

My Q: Where would i get someone to punture the design out onto the metal?
Where would I source the metal sheeting?

I’d really appreciate some guidance in this respect. My location is dublin.
