ParticipantAnyone know a company who does sun tubes which can bring light horizontally through a building into its centre. I have seen a website about such a product but cant remember where it was. I think they work with fibre optics as opposed to aluminium foil as per your bog standard Velux sun-pipe.
any advice would be appreciated.

http://www.velux.ie/Inspiration/HOT_TOPICS/VELUX+Sun+Tunnel.htmThere are plenty of suppliers in Ireland as in the two above.
The velux one looks good as it has proper glazing/insulation where some of the products seem to have a plastic bubble at the top which would let the heat escape from your home.
I’ve never seen fiber optic ones, I assume they are supposed to bring more light in and allow the tube to be bent around corners? Is that what you need to do? - August 13, 2009 at 1:04 pm #809360

I like the idea of lighting subway stations with sunlight via fiber optics! Genius!http://www.inhabitat.com/2005/04/26/sunlight-transport-system/
