ParticipantIts that time of year, here are a few of my own to get started
Highs
Finally some tall buildings look like being built in Dublin + City Managers views on consolidation of the city
Continued success of the Luas
National Conference Centre and the Point Depot
Bye bye Hawkins House and Liberty Hall
Dunnes Ballsbridge plans
M50 revamp
Clarence Hotel revamp
New apartment sizes introducedLows
Where is the Metro
Where is the Luas link up in city centre

Pier D – its still miles to walk and whats the point of those bitty travelators!
The loss of the trees at the Spire due to cleaning and no kiosks
Proper signage and street furniture in the city centre falls victim to commercial gain
The Clarence revamp – wont get past the Board.
Where is Luas BX!!! and have DCC even thought about an integrated city centre plan once its in place!!!
The depressingly dull quays – will they ever change -

I dont know does it :D, put whatever you want, mine were Dublin based, was not outside Dublin much in 2007 but could have added a number from my trip to NY City this year etc.

KeymasterSome highs …
– Cork Institute of Technology, perhaps slightly 06 (ish!)
– Central Library decision
– Grand Canal Square, both plaza & surrounding buildings
– National Conference Centre finally under construction, that thread started in 1999 for God’s sake !
– Thomand Park, taking shape fast, great addition to Limerick.
– Point Theatre redevelopment, the city badly needs a decent venue, the RDS is proving to be a poor substitute.
– Revised DDDA thinking, even if it is producing odd results.
