Help! Studying Architecture

ParticipantMe again, I’m in serious need of help! I’m really interested in Architecture and design etc… Anyway Ive come upon a teeney weeney little problem, I cant seem to study it anywhere. Wht i need help with is, are there any back doors into architecture, Any particular courses in architectural design etc that anybody knows of. Time is running out so i would really really be glad of your help.

ParticipantI cant seem to be able to study it anywhere. I didnt get enough points to do the degree in DIT or UCD, And other such courses. SO if anybody knows of plc courses part time courses etc that will lead on to architecture or other related professions. I inquired about a part time course in Design studies @ DIT but they are not enrolling untill october 04 to begin in Jan 05. Any help at all I would be most greatful!

Participantafter a 3 year course in architectural technology its possible to apply to get into second year of the architecture dgree course. this means 7 years in college to get a degree but it also means a diploma after 3, making you employable and giving a good base to begin studying architecture.

Participant2 year hnd will get you into 2nd year at most uk universities……though Irish unis won’t even look at it….weird?

ParticipantGOOD NEWS! I have looked into some PLC courses in draughting, CAD and Arch Technician. I have some interviews comming up so wish me luck. Thanks for ur help.
