ParticipantThe great Palm house was just an off the peg greenhouse apparantly… but one thing you notice when you go is the economy of the engineering… the opw did a fab job on restoring it… the exterior walkway works also as a retaining ring beam…. v cool.. I’m sure they won’t mind me posting these….
PS I can’t understand why it’s being used as a musical venue at the mo…. those kind of curves are a nightmare for accoustics..

ParticipantToo late Graham – the plants are already going in.
And yes the acoustics in the empty house are poor, I was at a meeting there while it was empty and it was very hard to hear the speakers, even from a few rows back.
