ParticipantGoogle Street View available in Ireland from today, via Google maps.
If you don’t have Google Chrome, I’d download it just to see and hear this:

InactiveThat’s pretty cool. Using that google street view function in google maps is pretty freaky; it’s amazing how much of the country is covered by it.

Inactivenoticed this before, but again when looking around in streetview dublin for offiice/ retail address its quiet hard whens there no numbers on the signage, why happened to painting the numbers in large figure on either side of the frontsign? should this not be regulation to do so and part of the signage rules too.

InactiveAs a regular user of Google Street View, I was delighted to see Ireland being unveiled recently.
The pros and cons of the facility have been discussed at length elsewhere.
And while I welcome it myself, I must point out one of the most annoying aspects in relation to Dublin. I’ll sum it up in three words –
Double Decker Buses
I know this has raised here before, but street view really highlights how much they have taken over some parts of the city. The view of Eden Quay from the other side of the river is a perfect example.
