ParticipantGoodbye to Liffey House Tara Street, This Redbrick piece of rubbish has been hanging around far too long. What ever is done here would be an improvement.

ParticipantWell theve started to gut it, all the windows are gone and its being stripped down to a shell at the moment – worth a photo even if to say “Never again”.
With Hawkins House about to get revamped as well this area is definitely starting to improve.

ParticipantBut the Hawkins House redevelopment isnt that radical. They will maintain the carpark that blights Poolbeg and Hawkins Street instead of reinstating the streetline.

ParticipantThere was a model in the civic offices several months ago of the proposed building.
I think it has about 6 floors
it was on the 3rd floor near the main stairs in the new block. - January 9, 2002 at 12:10 pm #718027

ParticipantHas anyone noticed how narrow they have made the footpath in front of Liffey House?
It’s especially difficult to navigate after the Christmas break.
What numbskull allowed them to place the hoarding so far out into the footpath? - January 23, 2002 at 10:22 pm #718029

ParticipantI think there was an article in the Commercial Property section of the Irish Times a few months back. it looks rather impressive and will fit in with Georges Quay and the revamp of hawkins house.
