ParticipantIf you are to stand at the end of Grafton Steet, the epicentre of pedestrian dublin, and if your appetite grumbles at you for a semi-quick bite, what are the options?
At the moment all there is are unappealing burger joints, or if your willing to walk a little further, variety can be got at Iskanders Kebab house on Dame Street or Charlies Chinese also on Dame street or the pleasant Zatoon on Parliament street. That’s quite a way to go to get a sit-down bit of grub.
This is where the BOI branch linking Suffock street with Dame street presents a real opportunity to make a roaring successfull business and a welcome addition to Dublin at the same time. With some remodelling this building would make a great location to give Dublin it’s first serious food hall. The Abbey street Food Hall is nice but quite small and only really a novelty IMO.
Whereas a new food hall along the lines of one in Stockhom centre with a food offering ranging from Noodles, Tachos, Curries, Pizza, Pasta…… from a myriad of different vendors havine a semi-shared seating arrangment. If I was an investor I’d jump at this chance.

ParticipantA gourmets delight…..I’m all for it…….however we build everything to small and pokey here…..let’s have some generous scale and airiness, no more crowded places….the sky is the limit.

ParticipantCome clean, JackHack. You sound like you’re about to lodge a planning application…
