Dublin City Development Plan – Available Online Here!

As some of you may already be aware, there have been a lot of ongoing problems with Dublin City Council’s website. (See thread: https://archiseek.com/content/showthread.php?t=5925 )
However I am glad to report that there has been progress, with many of key planning documents now online. By all accounts, these improvements have come about in no small part thanks to lobbying efforts made by members of the public – and in fairness, by some hard graft by the technicians.
That said, certain basic documents such as The City Development Plan still do not appear to be directly available on the website – despite them being hosted and buttons purporting to link thru to the document. For example, if you do not want to be able to access the Development Plan, please click here: http://www.dublincity.ie/business_services/planning/development_plan_2011/
As I can only access the Record of Protected Structures on the above page, I suspect others may be having similar difficulties. Hence I thought I would try and be helpful, so If you do want to access The Dublin City Development Plan, please click the following links for the various chapters:

Hutton the Development Plan has always been online. If you go to the page you linked to, click the wriiten statement it will bring you to the intro and contents pages in a new window. If you click on the chapter you want, it brings you there. It’s been available since it was adopted

Maybe its my browser (not IE but a popular one anyhow) in any event, I simply can never access the plan via that page – and I know that one or two other pals have similar problems :confused:
Alonso are you able to access the maps? Links please, if so 🙂

yeh Hutton it must be the browser. When I hover the cursor over the contents, the arrow turns into a little click hand icon and then i can go through it that way. I use IE by the way.

The plan covers the 2005 – 2011 period, so perhaps it was adopted in 2004

So I have been reading this and, am I missing something, but has the DCC forgotten it has three universities, a college of art and design, an institute of technology and a huge range of third level colleges and language schools in its area. Where is the chapter about education and research and the policy statements about how valuable the third level sector is and how much the DCC is going to do to help.
