ParticipantKinda changing the subject here, but does anyone know what’s happening at Donnybrook at the moment? Last time I passed, the stand had been demolished. I’m assuming they’re rebuilding it with higher capacity. Does anyone know any specifics?

Inactiveno specifics but the stand is well underway. The roof supports are about halfway there now.

InactiveI wonder why they didn’t just build another stand on the other side, beside the dodder. There is definately demand for it.

Inactive:)Shamrock Rovers are taking up residence for the 2009 season – March to Nov,or until Thomas Davis are told they don’t own or need every field in Tallaght. Rovers in Doonybrook nearly back home, great news for the regulars in Kielys !!

InactiveWell, the Irish Times yesterday posted the timetable of matches for the Senior Cup, and it seems most of the matches are to be played in Donnybrook.
Will they have finished it by then (January), or will the matches be played without the west stand?

InactiveI reckon there’s a decent chance of completion by January. it doesn’t look like too complex a stand – fairly basic stuff

InactiveI agree it should be finished by January. The roof is pretty much on now and theyll most likely just start putting the finishing touches on it now.
