Was the building which is part of the DIT on Cathal Brugha Street purpose built for the DIT or did they take it over? And can anyone give any information on the scupture on the corner?

      Paul Clerkin
      Keymaster

Built in 1938-39 by Robinson Keefe as the College of Domestic Economy…..

      No idea on the sculpture….

Interestingly they published their own cookery books at one time….

Don’t say DIT and mental hospital in the same sentence… I’m starting to study there in a few weeks!

My last few years in DIT have been marred with many a quip and sneering remark over Grangegorman – be prepared Stephen!
Even the lecturers are at it – knowing full well they’ll be retired by the time it’s finished (or started)
