      I’m currently wtiting a paper on disabled access in the external environment, i.e national parks, shopping centres, basically any area open to the public. Do any members have comments or links which would be helpful

      First place i’d stop would be the Building regulations; Part M. Get the technical side of public buildings sorted before moving on to analysis on thought.

      I’ve been looking at the benfit of pedestrianisation in shopping districts, has anyone got any thoughts on the matter in relation to disabled access

      don’t bother with Part M it doesn’t cover anything, use Bs 8300 instead as a starter.
      There is a booklist on RIAI website.
