Hi all,
Decorative platerwork question:
Are there any beautiful original decorative ceiling roses in Dublin accesible to the public?
We are currently looking at restoring and repainting a ceiling rose dating from c 1800.Were Ceiling roses of this period coloured in original white or were they sometimes painted in more opulent colours.
I know when decorative palsterwork is painted the original detail is diminished so any information would be much appreciated.
