Who would think that while stadia design is an interesting and desirable form for todays modern recreational society, large scale designs in city centre communities like the Croke Park redevelopment seriously infringes on the daily lives of the community around it???
Would anyone reading find it desirable to live in or around that area??? What are the benefits??? what are the disadvantages???
Who thinks a balance needs to be struck between catering for the needs of the spectator and the needs of the community?? How many people find that the GAA, and their architects, Gilroy McMahon, have met this balance???
I’m researching this as a final year thesis project so i’d be interested in your comments.
