I have read other posts here applauding this rural guide and the ideals therein. However here in Co Cork there are few houses constrained by it. My rant is about inconsistency here, in 2007 a person seeks planning for a bungalow and the council reduces it in size! In 2009 the same applicant seeks permission for 2 storey which is much bigger and its granted. Yes we did submit our concerns about the size and design of the second but basically they were ignored. Is there any point in going to pleanala.

only if you have valid and genuine planning reasons to object…

it could be argued that in 2007 no specific policy or design guide document was in place whereas in 2009 there is..?!?!?… my point?… policies change all the time…

how does this 2 storey affect you?? how far are you from it?
are you located north of this dwelling and affected by shadows??
is there transparent first floor windows proposed that can overlook your property?
