      If I purchase a house and I want to run my physiotheraphy business there as well as have it as my main home – do I need a change of use. Also under waht class is physiotherpay – in my change of use notice do I specifically have to mention that is is for a physiotheraphy clinic or do I merely refer to a class from the planning acts:confused: ??

      I think it depends on the number of clients you expect. If it is so small that nobody notices then I don’t think it is a ‘material’ change of use. If you want to put up a sign and run a busy practice, you will need permission and you may have to pay rates.

      Just because nobody notices, doesn’t mean it’s ok.
      Means you could get away with it. But there might be certain rules around it. For example a woman here wanted to mind children at home. The external of the house remained the same, but she needed to go along the lines of change of use. What exactly do you need to do to convert your house.

      I will need to convert the garage in to a clinic – Over any given working day I could have up to 20 people visiting. I do think I will need a change of use but I don’t know what change of use is it – I cannot work out the schedules attached to the acts. If I make a change of use application do I have to specify whether it is a physio, chiropratic, dentist or doctor etc………
