ParticipantI was going to Croke Park last week and ended up parking in the yard of building which I think was Buckingham Street although I can’t be certain due to a mysterious lack of street signs. Anyway it was a rather magnificent Georgian building very much in the style of Charlemont/Castletown Houses with side bits sticking out (excuse my ignorance of architectural terms.
Anyway, does anyone know the name or history of this sad neglected building?

InactiveI’d guess that might be Aldborough House on Portland Row (I think that’s the name of the street). You’ll find a picture of it on this page https://archiseek.com/content/showthread.php?t=4641&page=8.

Inactivethere is a big planning notive for this building; basically for conversion into consulting rooms with a small surgery for minor procedures and some patients rooms for convalesence.
it is while since i read the notice, but it seem to imply the house would be treated well with most new build to the right of the house as you face it, there is quite a bit of space there.
