ParticipantConstuction of the bridge seems to have stopped. The bridge reaches out into the middle of the liffey and doesn’t seem to be getting any closer to the other side:eek: is there a set opening date?

InactiveIs it not just that they are working on the bridge foundations in the one place that the bridge touches the riverbed. I’m sure the bridge will arrive in one or more sections and will appear very rapidly when they’re ready.

InactiveIt’s not that the bridge has started and got no further. They spent a fair while building a base in the water to operate a crane from. Then spent a while draining a square of riverbed to commence the base for the single pivot point the bridge will axis on. I wouldn’t say they are breaking any speed records but they are working on it. As mentioned, I hope the bridge itself will arrive in a few large pieces and fixed in place.
