ParticipantWho commisioned the destruction of Digges Lane Dance Centre in Dublin?
Did anyone of the public oppose?
[Its funny, cos it was a week away from having a protection order put on it by Heritage Ireland, just before it was closed…
Due to its “conciderable contribution to the youth of Dublin”.
I think Ninette Da Valois got the hump that a 7 year old, internationally recognised and internationally successful dance school/centre was getting more funding than her prima-donna, sterile, snobby 2 year old dance school did. Thus turning on her prima-donna attitude with the Houses of Parliment. They bought it.
Thankyou you idiots, oh, and a Best Actor Award for having a quite pathetic attempt in trying to get us to believe that it was ‘dangerous’.
They gladly knock down Digges, but build yet another “institution” in its place. The cheek!!!
But one good thing though. At least B*Witched got their mates D-Side out that building before the doors were locked for good!!!
Talent find a way. Just a shame we won’t see anymore Diggers.
