architects copyright

just a quickie, just registered and thought I would post a query>

Currently in preparation for RIBA Part III exams and researching an essay topic based on Design Copyright: how can an architect prove if their copyright of a design has been copied (as may be the case with developments of local authorities beginning to publish designs together with planning applcaitions on the internet).

Has any one reading this been effected by unlawful reproduction of a design?

I will write a clearer request for information tomorrow….. currently tired!!
