ParticipantSaw O’Donnell and Tuomey’s new Gaeláras Irish language centre in Derry recently- looks great on the street, unfortunately I couldn’t get inside to have a look around- took a couple of pics on my phone – sent to Paul to upload

Inactiveremind’s me of the grey contempory ballybough community centre except more angular
I wonder what they used as formwork for the concrete and if they used a release agent?

Inactivewas going to post pictures from the AAI visit but they are a bit big, sorry. the links are pretty good though.
re missarchi: Twomey said they used boatbuilders to make the formwork. nails were made to lineup and individual boards were offset in the formwork too.
i have close ups, might try to reduce the quality of the pictures at the weekend and upload a few
