There is often talk within Development Plans for County of City Councils about ‘Amenity Value’. Does anyone have any thoughts on what it really means? I mean how do we define exactly what an amenity is?
it’s a funny one alright. just like defensible space!!!!!
my thoughts and maybe i am wide of the mark is public open space. either a square or landscaped public garden…maybe even a football/sport pitch. that kinda thing i think phil.
Yeah, they are definitely a few of the aspects of it. It can be used in other ways as well, such as when an area is zoned as residential, it is outlined as follows: “To protect and enhance residential amenity”.
