missarchi: What was your 4-year old doing out on a bike in traffic? I jest, but there is areal problem here. I have a beautifully-delineated cycle-path outside my block of flats in Glasgow’s posh West end. It’s so handy for parking the BMW (not mine). And guess what? Cycle-lanes are not statutory in the UK and there is therefore no offence in parking on them! So no-one has it right. Except perhaps the Dutch with shared road surfaces, but everybody then has to be extra-vigilant – even 4-year olds.
