Re: Re: History of streets in Dublin
‘Four Roads to Dublin’ by Deidre Kelly would be the book for you.
On the subject of the late Deidre Kelly, has anyone seen her memorial metal wigwam at the former triangle in Ranelagh?
Apparently a bicycle (possibly hers) is entombed under a glass panel in the footpath beside the wigwam, but, due to glare, it can’t be seen in daylight!
. . . not sure what the message is here . . . . something to do with native peoples, never leaving your bicycle out of your sight in Dublin, and the power of reflection over transparency! . . . . probably.
