Luis Fernandez Galiano, an architectural critic last night gave an interesting AAI lecture.
I was intrigued by one his many observations on architecture.
That the simplicity craved by architects in their dwellings, isn’t seen the same way by the public.
He showed a slide of the house of the Uni-bomber in the Montana, in the United States,
which looks exactly like Thoreau’s house.
But the house was shipped from Montana to the court case, by the lawyer to be used as solid evidence in the trial,
that anyone who lived in such a structure must be clinically insane.
I wrote a piece a long while back, about Architects, information and the media.
I was reminded of a lot of this while listening to Mr. Galiano’s lecture last night.
