A very good example of a Round Tower with a height of 110 feet in height and with the door about 10 feet above the ground.

Remodelled in 1900 ‘on modern lines as a station hotel’.
Now a lot smaller than at completion after the Earl of Meath demolished most of the entrance front in the 1950s when the building was discovered to be infested with dry-rot.
